WHAT IS IT?

Toast Ale is using bread that would be discarded to brew beer. This way, a third of the malt used in traditional beer recipes gets replaced by one of the foods most frequently wasted: bread. They provide a range of different tastes on beers. In addition, all their profits go to the organization Feedback, which is working to address food waste across the food system.

HOW IS IT MADE?

The beer is made using traditional recipes based on bread. The startup actively shares the recipe for their pale ale to encourage others to replicate their business model.
