CITY CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVE

Using the Circular Charlotte report created by Metabolic as a guide, Envision Charlotte has partnered with Sealed Air, Coca-Cola Consolidated, and CATS to launch “Send Me On My Way”, a campaign to educate residents on recycling in Charlotte. By leveraging Sealed Air and Coca-Cola Consolidated’s local headquarters and vast industry knowledge, Envision Charlotte will literally “drive” to educate its fellow citizens on the circular economy.

 

DESCRIPTION OF INITIATIVE

Using a retrofitted CATS bus, the Send Me on My Way campaign collects plastic and aluminum packaging from participating organizations throughout Charlotte. The plastic and aluminum will then be taken directly to Coca-Cola Consolidated and Sealed Air to be turned into exciting new products and materials.
