WHAT IS IT?

Using waste crustacean shells, Carapac produces compostable plastics. Their bioplastics naturally have antifungal and antibacterial properties. This way, their food packaging extends the shelf life of the food products wrapped with them. When placing the packaging in the soil after use, it slowly releases nitrogen, nurturing the soil. When ending up in the ocean, the packaging will dissolve naturally and safely be consumed by marine animals.

HOW IS IT MADE?

The product is made from chitin extracted from crustacean shell waste.
