A sustainable city incubation platform in Paris

CITY CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVE

Paris & Co , the economic development and innovation agency of Paris, inaugurated in 2016 the Sustainable City incubation and innovation platform. The platform supports business start-ups in the sustainable city from a business point of view and facilitates their connection with large groups in the circular economy, real estate and logistics and mobility sectors.

 

DESCRIPTION OF POLICY

The incubation platform offers a set of services to startups and actors in the three sectors: an incubator, 2 places for meetings, exchanges and coworking.

The approach aims at:

• Bringing together the ecosystem of city actors (startups, large groups, institutions, research groups) in the innovation process, by facilitating the meeting of these actors and the coordination of their joint projects
• Coaching  project leaders and facilitating  the emergence of business collaborations in an open innovation approach.
• Capitalizing  on the feedback from supported entrepreneurs and measuring  the impacts of the actions carried out.
