WHAT IS IT?

Nanonic Incorporated developed a cellulose-based fabric that is mixed with seaweed, creating a lightweight and breathable textile. Through natural body moisture, the nutrients contained in the seaweed can be taken up by the skin in contact with the fabric. The fabric structure fosters this nutrient transfer, and the material can absorb sweat faster than cotton clothing. The manufacturing process is certified under the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

HOW IS IT MADE?

The cellulose is dissolved, washed, and retted. After filtering, it can be spun to yield filaments. Using another ingredient called Lyocell, the seaweed can be stabilized and added to the yarn spinning processes.
