WHAT IS IT?

Niaga developed a reversible adhesive that allows to customize wood panels, replacing the outer layer if it wears down while keeping the inside and recycle it into new panels at the end of life. They have similar approaches for carpets and mattresses where they design a product for disassembly and recycle it into a new carpet or mattress. Their close loop recycling is made possible by only using few different materials in a product.

HOW IS IT MADE?

Furniture panels with a Niaga®? tag are made of a recyclable core material. The veneer is attached by our click-unclick polyester-based adhesive, making possible to use them again. Niaga®?-tagged furniture panels are healthier and more sustainable than the current standard, being easier to repair and refurbish. The click-unclick adhesive allows for easy removal of the top layer, thereby significantly extending the panel’s use cycle. At the end of its use cycle, it can be recycled back into new panels. What’s more, the panels are free of formaldehyde and have no added VOCs. This makes them great for indoor air quality.
