The Milan Pilot will focus on supporting the transition to a circular agri-food system by connecting and adapting the current system to how modern citizens consume and live. This will be done through co-creation, co-design processes and democratized technological advancements.
The Milan Pilot will engage and map five municipal markets, establish co-design labs to co-develop circular solutions, prototype and experiment with these solutions.
The Milan’s Pilots aim is to impact food and market policies, and make current practices of the 23 local city markets more circular.
The Pilot aims to support the city’s vision on circular food by providing sustainable solutions at the local market level. The pilot will foster and test sustainable food logistics, develop market laboratories to disseminate circular practices, track the origin and quality of agricultural products and analyse the interrelations between rural-urban communities.
This Pilot is coordinated by Comune di Milano, if you want to get involved, please contact them.
